The Mecke test was one of the first kits in the EZ test series and was originally developed to identify heroin and morphine. It also responds to ecstasy and is helpful in detecting DXM (the use of which is increasing in the US) and all substances in the 2-CT-xx family. The test changes color for any ecstasy-like substance, including MDMA, MDA, MDE, MBDB, as well as DXM, 2C-T-xx, oxycodone, and opiates. The information sheet and color table included should correspond to these different substances. All EZ tests use a chemical reagent that is absorbed into silica gel that is in a glass ampoule. When a sample is added to the ampoule of these chemicals, a color change occurs when a reaction occurs. This color should be compared to the color chart that came with the instructions to get an idea of what might be in the sample. If your unopened ampoule is damaged, please contact the seller from whom you purchased it. After performing the test, please remember to dispose of the ampoule and sample safely. The EZ test kits are only a guide for analyzing a substance. It is advisable not to touch the substance and extensive laboratory testing of the samples is recommended for detailed results.
