The Turrican Parabolic, which was developed in collaboration between Lumatek Ltd and Qwod, has an incredibly even light distribution and a design that generates little heat directly under the lamp, which means it can be lowered further than using traditional reflectors often possible without burning the tops of plants. The Turrican uses the industry-leading, state-of-the-art reflective medium 'Miro' with 95% reflectivity, which is rated for lamps up to 1000 watts.

The Turrican Parabolic is a curved reflector that houses your HID lamp via its included E40 lamp holder.
What distinguishes the Turrican from cheap alternatives on the market is the high-quality feel of its components - the Turrican is made of materials that do not degrade quickly (reduced efficiency) like its competitors and delivers excellent results over long periods of time. In contrast to most other reflectors, the lamp in this device is mounted vertically and the majority of its output is directed laterally onto curved surfaces and reflected downwards towards the canopy. This method produces a more even distribution of light than with horizontally mounted lamps. Of course, even distribution of light results in a more even canopy of leaves and increases consistency when growing a larger number of plants in a given area. These effects are all greatly enhanced by the Turrican's "Miro" finish, which helps eliminate hot spots, a problem that occurs when light is too concentrated in a particular area.
It also features vents around the lamp socket to allow heat to escape through the top of the reflector. This, combined with the open design of the reflector, means that the temperatures directly under the lamp are significantly lower than under other reflectors, so that the Turrican can be positioned closer to the top of the plant without causing burns.
The Turrican is supplied with a 375 cm long mains cable with an IEC connector (kettle cable). The IEC adapter is used to connect to a ballast with a power of up to 1000 watts suitable for the lamp attached to the reflector.
